In the fall of 2022, M3 launched two house bands, Detour and Girl Colors, to function as the official representatives of M3 and the Abington School District in public performances. Due to the success of these bands, M3 added two touring bands, Eclipse and Silhouette, to the Middle School program in the spring of 2023. In the fall of 2023, M3 added another touring band, Scarlet Fever, to the high school roster, and plans to add a final band focusing on electronic music, M3 Electronics Team, or M3ET, in the spring of 2024.

While M3 still functions as an opportunity for all students to perform and produce music, students participating in M3 the Band are offered the opportunity to perform in various public functions, touring opportunities, and conferences. Performances have and will include fundraising functions, charity events, state and national music education conferences, and sporting events in the greater Philadelphia region.
