Kevin Longwill - Executive Director
Kevin Longwill is the Director of Music Industry at Abington High School in Abington, PA; a 15-time winner of NAMM’s Best Communities for Music Education designation. As a K-12 music educator, his coursework focuses on music production, modern band, digital literacy, commercial music, songwriting, and artist development. Kevin founded the district's music industry program, M3 (Modern Music Makers), which was named as one of Music for All’s Advocacy in Action Award winners for 2024. The program boasts a considerable roster of individual performers and student-run ensembles, modern band and touring ensembles, full production company including audio, video, lighting, and post-production, and student-run record label, M3 Records. Additionally, Kevin is on the faculty at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance, where his coursework focuses on music education and commercial music. Kevin’s efforts in K-12 and post-secondary education saw him named to Yamaha’s 40 Under 40 list in 2024, and twice nominated for the Grammy Music Educator Award. Kevin regularly writes and presents on the topics of music industry and technology programming in schools, and often serves as clinician and consultant to assist students, educators, and school districts in developing music industry and commercial music programs.

Maddie McDonald - Touring Band Coach
Maddie McDonald is a vocalist and music educator from the Philadelphia area. She earned her Bachelors of Music from Temple University and promptly began teaching music at the high school level in Philadelphia, specifically leading vocal groups and teaching beginner guitar. Now a school counselor at Abington Middle School, Maddie is excited to connect with her students through music and lend her expertise to the M3 and M4 music programs. Outside of Abington, Maddie engages in music through membership in the Singing City Choir of Philadelphia.
Mitch Beer - Performance Coach
Mitch Beer is a bassist, producer, educator, and studio owner whose work spans platinum
records, global tours, and daily insight into the realities of the modern music industry. He is
credited as a producer and bassist on Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape (#1, platinum, “CS”) and Tierra
Whack’s World Wide Whack (including “Difficult,” later featured in the 2025 adaptation of Long
Bright River), and has worked as studio bassist for nine-time Grammy winner Joe “The Butcher”
Nicolo. His credits also include engineering Phony Ppl’s “Fkn Around” featuring Megan Thee
Stallion, touring with Digable Planets and The Bacon Brothers, and operating Retro City B
Room, a professional recording studio serving Grammy winners and platinum producers.
Beyond the studio, Mitch co-founded the livestream podcast Asses in Seats (supporting
MusiCares), serves on the board of the nonprofit Music Media Collective, and mentors young
musicians on professionalism and the music industry. He has also built a thriving online
community through the Music Industry Survival Guide series, with over 17,000 followers and
almost 1,000 consecutive days of posts, while maintaining endorsements with Aguilar, Curt
Mangan Strings, and Moody Straps. Guided by mentors Joe Nicolo, David Ivory, and Ivan
Barias, Mitch’s work centers on longevity, meaningful relationships, and always showing up
prepared—helping musicians not just survive the industry, but thrive in it through a love of music
itself.
Production.
Tim Malfara - Production Coach
Tim Malfara is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and audio engineer. He has been playing and writing music since the mid ‘80s. In the mid-1990s he was a member of the power pop band The Bathers, whose song Pint of Nails was featured in the M. Night Shyamalan motion picture, Wide Awake. He currently composes and performs as a member of the band Home Skoold. In addition, he has performed session work for Moon Poodle, Joe Miralles and The Sultry Dogs and has worked with producers Peter Humphreys (Sigma Sound), Ric Zivic (Z-Music), Scott Herzog (Third Story), Tommy Joyner (Milkboy) and Cliff Hillis (The Hacienda). In his spare time, he runs a technology consulting company focused on IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Data Protection and Disaster Recovery.

Tony Perri - Management Coach
Tony has worked professionally in the following industries for over 35 years: design, illustration, graphics, branding, marketing, tattooing, architecture and construction. He has owned and operated several successful businesses including a design studio, an architecture/design firm, and a tattoo shop. Tony was an adjunct professor for Drexel University in the Design school for several years and taught both undergraduate and graduate classes. His ability to problem solve expanded beyond designing with a pencil to creating teams and working with people. Tony currently works as a Senior Project Manager for an international Architecture and Engineering firm. While each opportunity or endeavor may have common threads, teaching and mentoring has been his greatest passion. The opportunity to work with the M3 students and apply design ideas, time management, organization and planning skills has allowed him to combine all of his favorite things. The music industry is filled with non-musicians and he believes the skills the M3 M&M students are developing are critical within the industry and transferable to all aspects of their lives.
Luis Aguilar - Management Coach
Luis Aguilar is a music industry educator, saxophonist, and music business professional who is active in Philadelphia and New York City. His education work has centered around music curricula reflective of the modern music society, and focuses on creating artist development pathways for aspiring young musicians. Luis has premiered new music at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania, and arranges music for Latin music ensembles which have been performed in NYC and Rio de Janeiro. Aguilar has taught a diverse range of students in the Central Bucks School District and Abington School District, focusing on student-centered learning and creativity in the classroom. He currently is a Digital Label Operations Coordinator at Reservoir Media, where he works on curating and executing digital releases of Reservoir's catalog of 50,000 recorded music copyrights which includes the music of De La Soul, Louis Prima, Tommy Boy Music, Chrysalis Records, and many more. Aguilar has a BM in Music Education from Temple University, and an MA in Music Business from NYU, studying under Matthew Levy (Founder of the PRISM Quartet), David Israelite (CEO of NMPA), Mitch Glazier (CEO of RIAA), and many other influential professors. His passion for both music education and the music industry fuels his drive to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real world industry experience for the next generation of artists.
